"Goon" Gets a CG Green Light

Dark Horse's The Goon is getting its shot at the big time in a CG-Animated film directed by David Fincher and animated by Blur Studios.

The dark comedy follows the adventures of a bruiser who acts as the enforcer for the city's mobster. In the process, however, he combats ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and "skunk apes". The series was created by Eric Powell in 1999, and Powell will be developing the screenplay. Deals are being negtiotiated with studios including Universal.
