Guy Ritchie No Longer Attached To 'Lobo'

Producer Joel Silver told the LA Times that Guy Ritchie is no longer attached to direct Warner Bros. Pictures’ adaptation of Lobo, because the studio is moving forward with Sherlock Holmes 2. "I don’t think he’s going to do it now, the studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another Asked if that means Lobo will be postponed until Ritchie is free, Silver said he thinks they will more likely go with a different director. Ritchie, while SHERLOCK HOLMES was ok, really hasn’t done a good movie since SNATCH…a decade ago. Anyway this all makes sense as Downey already dropped out of COWBOYS AND ALIENS to play the great Detective again. So who should direct?
If it were up to me, to replace Ritchie, I’d be all over my boy Jon Cassar. “Who?” You might ask. Well Jon Cassar has Directed 59 episodes of 24. Including the one in Season 4 when Jack rescues Heller and Audrey, killing 17 terrorists in the process. He has proven he can direct action and we could use some fresh blood. Even if you aren’t a fan of the CRANK movies, you gotta admit to some pretty good action sequences. Also, they already have ties with DC as they are the guys who just did JONAH HEX.
