Marvel Action Figures

By Brian Kronner on 03.11.2010

From GAMMA SQUAD - If you’re a fan of Marvel action figures, you know all about Hasbro’s 3 3/4″ Marvel Universe figures – especially how annoyingly hard it can be to find some of them. One of the rarest was last year’s Nick Fury mail-away figure – which was only available to people who subscribed to Marvel’s Digital Comics Unlimited site. (And as a give away at a couple live Marvel events, too.) If you didn’t grab it then, you can grab it on eBay…for between $85 and $95.

Well, Hasbro’s offering a chance for fans to choose which will be the next exclusive Marvel figure and they’re offering a choice of three: Archangel in his current X-Force outfit, Norman Osborne in his H.A.M.M.E.R. outfit or Moonstone in her Ms. Marvel outfit.

It’s interesting to note that they’ve shied away from having a truly unique character like Fury as the mail-away. After all, another version of Archangel will be coming out in wave 8 and we already got two different versions of Ms. Marvel back in wave 3. There’s no other version of Osborne announced so far, but by doing him in his H.A.M.M.E.R. outfit, they can easily do a regular, suited version of him later on without having to tool a new head or have collectors who shelled out for the exclusive get too angry. But since chances are none of these are going be characters you can’t get anywhere else…don’t expect to see any of these figures going for anywhere near what Fury goes for these days.

So there you have it toy fans, VOTE HERE.

What I want is the late ToyBiz standard 6"+ figures and their multiple jointed standard back!

Sure there is a recession and this "stuff" should be the least thing to worry about and blah-blah-blah, BUT as a paying collector nerd, is beyond me why would they drop the ball with these 3 inch Happy-meal toy quality crap Hasbro has been peddling for 2 years now.

F@ck Hasbro, join me and take your business elsewhere, there are many other companies who still care to keep their custom

Yay! Let's all vote for the titties! Or not. Your choice. I'm fine either way.

Enter4none...I completely agree with you. I have been buying the DC figures lately as they are still 6"+ figures. Once Hasbro took over, the quality of the Marvel Legends figures dropped considerably. I never even finished getting the last few series because of this.
