NIGHT OF THE LIVING TREKKIES

GAMMA SQUAD - Quirk Books, publisher of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, is publishing another zombie mashup, NIGHT OF THE LIVING TREKKIES by Kevin David Anderson. A zombie outbreak starts at a Star Trek convention, and the fanboys have to save the world.

Compared to a "Galaxy Quest meets Dawn of the Dead" hybrid, the book chronicles a group of unlucky Trek fans must defend themselves against legions of the living dead.

Associate publisher Jason Rekulak told i09: "I’ve always felt that a giant convention of fanboys (like the San Diego Comic Con) would be a delightful setting for some kind of genre fiction: mystery, romance, horror, something. Then the manuscript for NIGHT OF THE LIVING TREKKIES landed on my desk, and I knew I had my book."

Well I’ll check this out, I’m not sick of Zombies yet, and I like STAR TREK. Plus I’m a sucker for the whole "it’s _________ meets __________ in an explosion of awesome!!!" Especially when they reference GALAXY QUEST, because that movie was sweet.

		2010-03-13 18:03:40 Fisticufflinks Well, not into Zombies or Star Trek and Galaxy Quest was bad, "not good", for me. All Three together though has the potential to be HILARIOUS! Might check it out.
