I don't understand why people wouldn't want Ratner on this project. When Ratner's hot breeze meets with Liefeld's cold front, It's a cyclone of something so shitty it has to be incredible to watch. Plus this keeps Ratner off something I want to see.

Thanks Fisticufflinks: I worked on the CGI for Avatar... and being a CG artist, we put a whole lot of heart and soul into what we worked on, as did J.C. Don't worry though, you'll be kissing James Cameron's ass after you see the film in its entirety. It's a great fucking story! So if BamKapow wants to dis Cameron, but write about fucking Brett Ratner, then i'm out of here for good.

I'm comparing the CG to 10,00B.C. Not the film. I'm saying the CG looked really bad and fake... like a video game instead of a Blockbuster movie. And you might not think I'm too bright... but you'd be wrong. I didn't see battle for Terra. I saw Ferngully, but that was a cartoon and I didn't like it either. I used to love Camerons work. O.K. I hate that I have to clarify this, but... FUCK! I'm not assuming things about the movie. I saw a visual that was bad. I've read things that make me have zero interest in the film. I've growing distaste for the personal character of the creator. All right, Deathdealer. Fair enough. However, you're crazy to think that, to the majority of people who pay to see films, the visual direction of the film has no effect on them. Especially since you are a conceptual artist yourself. I am a sequential art illustrator and storyteller, myself. Sure, a novel get's by on simple words, but a movie is at leasta 50% (if not greater) visual story telling device.

...and that is ok Dr. Kronner ..BUT you canNOT deny Camerons storytelling abilities! He is the master at his craft! I think if Avatar wasn't so hyped up from the beginning, it would have had a more positive effect on people. I knew that this was going to happen, the hype is just way to unrealistic. It does look amazing in stereoscopic though, and there are scenes that will knock you out of your seat! There's only so much effect you can get from watching it on your computer screen.

...also, the concept that I shouldn't decide whether or not to see a film based on it's trailer is flawed. Trailers are built to make the Consumer, in this case myself, want to see that movie. It is a way to advertise a product. If it doesn't do it's job and make the lay person want to go and buy a ticket to support the artists and creators who made the work then it isn't doing it's job. This trailer just made me have less interest in seeing something I was already pretty sure, based on art
