Goldberg/Rogen taking on The Boys as well as Green Hornet

Empire had the pleasure of speaking to Evan Goldberg recently, and well here's what he had to say about The Green Hornet:

“We decided to make it before he was the Green Hornet, when they [the Green Hornet and his sidekick Kato] had to work out their partnership. He’s a bit of a dick and he’s rude to Kato and it’s about them coming to terms with one another, so the Green Hornet people know is three years later.”

While this may cause some concern for the "true" Green Honeters out there, I think this franchise is in good hands. My only issue is they better slim down Rogen for the role, otherwise it's going to be a farce. As for the critically acclaimed The Boys, Goldberg gave us these golden nuggets:

“The reason this is a good thing to make is because it is not a normal superhero movie; the trick is we need to wait for a few more superhero movies to come out, so everyone gets superheroes and then we can be critical of the superhero.”

As well as praising The Boys creator Garth Ennis by adding:

“he doesn’t make it black and white, it’s all about the grey and that’s what I love.”

The Boys is an incredible piece of work that every fan of comics and those who hate them, should read.  Not to mention, I believe my buddy Lucas said it best, "The thought of Seth Rogen dressed as The Boys' Love Sausage is frightening and hilarious."
