Grant Morrison Talks About the We3 Movie

By Zipp on 07.01.2009

Hey everybody, here’s a video interview of comic book legend Grant Morrison discussing his upcoming film project “We3”, for which he is writing the screenplay, adapted from his comic mini-series of the same name.

Here’s the video:

Now, for those of you who haven’t read “We3” yet, I’d suggest picking it up. However, it tends to be pretty hit or miss. Everyone I know who’s read it either loved it or hated it. And as far as comic book adaptations go, this is probably your best bet for a good movie, being that it’s a marketable concert based on a self contained comic of only about a hundred pages (compared to other comics like Superman which can draw from probably millions of pages of material).

Keep your eyes peeled for this one. Even if the movie sucks, it’ll probably still be pretty good eye candy.

Oh yeah, and maybe it’s just me, but am I the only one who thinks Grant Morrison looks like a Scottish Lex Luthor?

I've never listened to Morrison talk before but I couldn't understand a word he said.

I actually wanted to mention something about that but I figured I'd offend all the Scots. Well since that's out, are there any B!K! readers out there that speak Scottish?

Morrison said that his script was well received and that he likes it better than the story of the comic itself because he had fewer time and space constraints on the story he wanted to tell. The movie should have more detail, more story, and be even sadder than the comic.
