Hugh Jackman is Heart Broken Over Wolverine Leak

By Antonio Guterz on 04.08.2009

Thanks to the good blokes over at The Advertiser we got the inside track on how Wolverine himself is feeling about the leaked copy of his film. Hugh Jackman says he's heartbroken that his new movie X-Men Origins:Wolverine was leaked on the internet a month before its official release. He said he was upset for everyone involved in making the movie, which is partially made by Adelaide visual effects company Rising Sun Pictures. Jackman unveiled some completed footage of the movie to about 600 fans and media at Sydney Harbors Cockatoo Island where a lot of the film was shot. Jackman had this to say:

"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing - I was heartbroken by it. Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It's like a Ferrari without a paint job.''

Jackman also said he was heartened by the fact that the majority of the online community had condemned the leak and thought fans would still go to see it at the movies on May 1st.

I feel bad for Hugh Jackman because he really is a good guy. He is extremely nice to fans and he is very conscious of the online fan community surrounding his portrayal of Wolverine. The guys cares what we think. Remember the email he sent regarding re shoots where he further declared his passion for Wolverine? He assured us this movie was going to be bad ass, and I believe him. There are not that many actors who would take the time to reassure the core fan base of a movie that it was going to rock. So I think we owe it to an awesome guy to get our asses in the seats on May 1st! Who's with me?
