Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible Web Musical News

Best Musical Cast ever? 

Back during that writer's strike thing, TV creator Joss Whedon (Buffy, Firefly) and his brothers thought up the plot for a web short that will star Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day.   Titled Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog, the musical will follow wannabe villain, Dr. Horrible (Harris), who has fallen for Penny, a cute girl at the laundromat (Day), but keeps getting beaten up by superhero Captain Hammer (Fillion).

Dr. Horrible will be released as three 10-minute webisodes to get eventual DVD treatment.  And, according to this bloggy interview with Felicia Day, at least one installment will be on the web before this summer's Comic-Con opens (July 24).

Fillion as a superhero.  NPH as a super-villain.  Singing.  Free on the web.  It's hard not to love Joss Whedon.

Whedon's next TV series Dollhouse will hit TV with a mid-season debut.  Be sure to watch it.
