Mark Millar talks about potential Superman Trilogy?!?!

Yes, yes - he talks about a lot of things in the following interview. But the tidbits he drops about a potential Superman trilogy? Well that's the greatest Superman news I've ever heard. And when I say ever, I mean for-fucking-ever. First off we all know he's the Charlie Kauffman of comic books. The guy is pure genius. Everything he writes and touches is gold.

Maybe, we'll finally get a Superman who is actually disgruntled. Wounded. Someone who has finally reached a point of displeasure with his place in society. I firmly believe Mark Millar can give us that. I just hope they allow Millar to maintain control over the film. I think he's proven enough times already, nobody gives us a more compelling Superman than he does.

Superman Returns was an entertaining flick, but it was too much of a homage to the old flicks from the 80s. I've watched it enough times now that I've reached a point where the "bastardization" aspect of the film doesn't upset me. But that's also not a good thing. A buddy of mine has a running joke that I'm starting to think is accurate, "Maybe Singer should have directed Supergirl. Imagine Supergirl Returns - with the same storyline. That would have been amazing!"

Now, let's talk villains: Darkseid, Lobo, Parasite, Doomsday. Just give us something other than Lex Luthor. Or Nuclear Man. Anyway, interview is below:

With The Dark Knight being all the craze, a Supes trilogy is definitely in order. And hell why stop there? As long as Millar is attached, keep rolling them out. Yes, I have blind faith in him. You should too.

Side Note: As a bonus look for the sexy cosplayer in the background at around the 3 minute mark.
