Marvel's Next Big Hit?

With the release of Iron Man this weekend, and The Incredible Hulk waiting to smash theaters this summer, what's next for the House of Ideas?

The financing struck with Paramount requires that Marvel only have to distribute two movies through Paramount, the first being Iron Man. The provision was made that any Captain America or Nick Fury movies must also go through Paramount, either of which counting toward the second movie in the deal. Therefore, if Thor, The Avengers, or Ant Man are produced, they could be with other distributors. These three titles appear to be the favorites of the next great Marvel property to go to film, with Captain America believed to be a tough sell to the rest of the world. The next movie project is expected to be announced next week.

Marvel seems to be upping the ante on its superhero movies as of late, so hopefully with the expected success of Iron Man we'll see more projects of the same or greater caliber.
