McTeigue May Direct 'Magneto' Movie

V FOR VENDETTA director James McTeigue, according to IMDb.com, is in talks to direct a Magneto feature for 20th Century Fox. Now I really liked the first 2 X-Men movies and the idea of a Magneto movie excites me. The problem is 20th Century Fox. If you take out X-Men and X2: X-Men United, you’re left with the following masterpieces: Daredevil, Elektra, X3: The Last Stand, Wolverine, and both Fantastic Four movies. Not overly impressive if you ask me. That being said, I did like V for Vendetta, so maybe McTeigue can give us something worthy of the character. But if midway though production Brett Ratner takes over, I promise I’ll boycott. The best reason to get excited though maybe screenwriter David Goyer, who was unable to direct due to his commitment to his The Invisible Man. Goyer has proven himself in recent years with his involvement on the Batman reboots. The movie will expand on Magneto’s time in a Nazi concentration camp as seen briefly in X-Men. Also his fractious relationship with Charles Xavier. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner has called Goyer’s script "fantastic."
