Mr. Spock has Retired.

Leonard Nimoy has announced his retirement from acting at the ripe old age of 79. Gamma Squad, amongst a variety of other sources is reporting that the actor who arguably played the most famous half alien ever, will stop working in film and television. It looks like Leonard Nimoy’s acting career has finally passed the final frontier, as the 79-year-old actor has told the Toronto Sun that he’ll be retiring from acting, including his roles as Really Old Spock in Star Trek and William Bell in Fringe. In fact, he says that he was only supposed to do a couple episodes of Fringe as a favor to J.J. Abrams anyway.
What will the man that has been acting since 1951 do with all that spare time other than collect social security you may ask. The article goes on to say that he will pursue his love of photography, mainly nudes.
I for one am sad to see him go, because he has been a great source of fine cameos including one of my favorite Simpson episodes.
Mr. Spock, live long on prosper but please do not show me any nude self portraits. 7 Comments
