New Surrogates Movie Poster! This is one of those comic book movies that doesn’t immediately strike you as a comic book movie. The reasons are twofold. One, there aren’t any grown men or women running around in tights, punching things. Two, there is a credible celebrity headlining the film, which would make you want to call this a ‘Bruce Willis Film’ before you called it a ‘Comic Book Film.’ Whatever you want to call it, it’s exciting. We’ve been without Willis’ particular brand of tough guy in the box office for a couple of years, and one can only watch The Last Boyscout so many times before needing something a little less dated.
The latest poster is out, and features Willis looking badass, up top, as we’re familiar with him, and, a little lower in the picture, all plastic and creepy, sporting his Nicolas Cage wig. Here’s the trailer, if you haven’t seen it. It looks pretty promising, like Repo! The Genetic Opera meets I, Robot, with superpowers! And Bruce Willis. Which makes everything better. The only time Bruce Willis has ever hampered me, personally, was when The Fifth Element came on during an intimate moment with a ladyfriend. It’s hard to focus on Corbin Dallas and finding ‘the spot’ at the same time. I’m just saying. 2 Comments
