No Super Saiyan for You?

By Christopher Brown on 08.25.2008

Fox is apparently on a roll here with fans of the comic world.

First, there's the whole Watchmen debacle, that has fans ready to behead the powers that be over at Fox. Now there's rumors that the suits at Fox are less than impressed with the progress the Dragonball movie is making thus far. The film's already been pushed back to April of 2009, and now there's an alleged push to just drop the whole project.

Filmjunk.com seems to think that it could be a power move to pressure director James Wong to deliver better product, but with a supposed budget of $100 million dollars, a great deal is at stake for the property. Additionally, without a showing at San Diego Comic-Con, it's difficult to imagine what they've done as being "fan-pleasing". We'll see how it plays out, but with Stephen "Shaolin Soccer & Kung Fu Hustle" Chow at the helm, it should be pretty interesting…shouldn't it?
