'Watchmen' Suicide?

By Zombiezeus on 04.06.2009

Look, suicide is no joke. It's tragic, it happens all too often, and it's sad that so many people feel they would rather end their lives than go on living. So I'm not trying to make light of a very serious problem.

But I do find it odd that a man has committed suicide during a screening of "Watchmen" in Oregon. There were only ten other people in the theater.

I didn't like the movie, either, but couldn't he have waited until he was in the comfort of his own home or something? This is just going to be a very, very sad end note to a movie that tried very hard and failed very badly. This moment will go down in history as a go-to joke for how bad of a movie "Watchmen" was, and for how poorly it did at the box office I must say, though I didn't think the film succeeded, I don't think it deserves this crushing fate either.

Hey waitaminute–anybody see Alan Moore around lately? In Oregon, perhaps?
