Thy Cast Doth Be Filling Out!

By Supascoot on 09.24.2009

“Thor” casting news continues as hollywoodreporter.com announces the addition of Jaime Alexander and Colm Feore. They join Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Natalie Portman as Thor’s mortal lady, Jane Foster.

Jaime Alexander, best known for her role in KyleXY, will be playing Lady Sif, a former love interest of Thor’s and an Asgardian Warrior who could probably kick the shit out of Thor. It’s an interesting casting choice, because she’s… well… tiny. But she played a powerful role in KyleXY so I can buy it.

Colm Feore is a seasoned actor from countless movies, notably “The Chronicles of Riddick” and “24”. With over a hundred movie and television roles, this man has some chops. While the character he is playing is being kept under wraps, it is known to be a villain.

“Thor” is directed by Kenneth Branagh and set to be released in 2011. Personally, I
can’t wait to see what Mjolnir will look like, from one geek to another.

Nice cast. But 2011 is so far away... :(

I haven't seen Kyle XY for a while, but imagining Jamie Alexander talking like an Asgardian sounds weird to me. Movie's sounding good though, Colm Feore's a good actor so I'm confident. I wonder if he's gonna be a human or an Asgardian?

I similarly can not wait for this movie. Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor
