Ron Perlman in The Hobbit!?It's no secret that Guillermo del Toro is directing the new Hobbit flick under producer Peter Jackson. Del Toro is sure to bring his own unique style to the flick that is sure to capture all of our imaginations like Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth have done. What's interesting about Del Toro is t hat he is a man of closely guarded secrets as far as his films are concerned. He is an old school storyteller and believes in the element of surprise. Ron Perlman was recently interviewed about his possible participation in the Hobbit movie and he even said that with Del Toro – that you never know. However we all know how much Del Toro loves the big guy – he spent seven years arguing with studios and execs to get Perlman to play Hellboy – all of this was unbeknownst to Perlman until they started production. Take that for what its worth – but bank on some surprises when the Hobbit comes out – I’m thinking Perlman AND Doug Jones. Plus it would be a great move to please fans.
