From the files of the 80's Remakes comes Red Sonja. Robert Rodriguez is slated to produce the Robert E. Howard creation, with direction by Douglas Aarniokoski and scripting by David White.

The story centers on the vengence of a young girl whose family is ravaged by invaders.

Red Sonja will star Rose McGowan, who is no stranger to Robert Rodriguez or vengence themed movies. Fans of the 1985 version of Red Sonja will certainly be curious to see how the new iteration fares without Bridgitte Neilson or Arnold Schwarzenegger. Personally, I'm wondering if McGowan will bulk up for the role, as this is a movie about a woman warrior who is feared throughout the land. There's not, in my humble opinion, much go fear about McGowan's size or stature as she is now…
