Superhero-esque Movie Debuting at San Diego Comic Con

By Michael McDaniel on 07.10.2006

On July 20, Hero Tomorrow will debut at the San Diego Comic Convention. The website: www.herotomorrow.com is up with the trailer now viewable. The movie is directed by Ted Sikora and created by Sikora and Milo Miller. Their site describes the film thus:

David, a struggling comic book creator from Cleveland, spends his days cutting grass and his nights smoking it while desperately trying to keep his superhero fantasies alive. When Robyn, his aspiring fashion-designer girlfriend, makes him a Halloween costume of his original character Apama, it doesn't take David long to hit the streets and begin blundering towards disaster.

Not your traditional Superhero movie, because David technically only thinks he's a superhero, it is nonetheless a movie most people will be able to appreciate because of its more general themes of escapism and romance. The love-story between Robyn and David is the heart of the film. Spending the majority of the 100,000 dollar budget on equipment, the creators were able to find many actors in the Cleveland area willing to work for little but the hope of more pay.

Check it out at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
