Superman Joining 'The Walking Dead' Cast?

Bloody Disgusting, who first broke the (untrue) story about Jonny Lee Miller playing Rick in THE WALKING DEAD.

Well their track record is actually pretty good, so I have no problems at all reporting that they now believe Brandon Routh may be joing the WD cast. Here is what they had to say:

Sources close to Bloody Disgusting tell us exclusively that Brandon Routh (Superman, Dead of Night) is a lock for Frank Darabont’s "The Walking Dead", the new post-apocalyptic zombie TV series being developed for AMC. The adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s astounding comic franchise is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), in search of a safe place to live. Jon Bernthal also stars. AMC has already ordered 6 episodes before the pilot was even presented. Good start!

So whether or not you liked him as Superman, which I did, even though I didn’t like the movie, yo’ve got to admit he was good in ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO.

They don’t wager as guess as to who Brandon would play, but Josh Wigler over on MTV’s Splashpage threw one out: Allen.

It’s about as good as guess as I could’ve made. Sure he doesn’t look the part, but he could gain a couple pounds and grow/glue on a beard. I’d be down.
