The Dark Knight: 1960s Version

By Zipp on 04.27.2009

Apparently, back in 1989 Adam West was pretty pissed that he didn’t get asked to revive his role as Batman for Tim Burton’s portrayal of the film. This is completely understandable, considering the dark tone and mood of the film, and well, Adam West’s incredible goofiness. At the time, it was considered a very, very grim interpretation of The Batman.

And then “The Dark Knight” came around and totally flipped the script. An instant classic, many consider it one of the darkest movies of this decade, and easily the darkest superhero movie ever created. It pretty much turned Burton’s film into a joke.

Now, imagine if Adam West were cast instead of Christian Bale in “The Dark Knight”. Think that would be completely and utterly hilarious?

Well, it is. Enjoy.
