With Iron Man 2 finally released, I was so glad to hear that the B!K! staff could take a break from updates, but then I released that we have a huge amount of potentially new Marvel and DC movies coming out within the next 5 years, so I now embrace the update, especially when it’s The First Avenger: Captain America news!!

First of all, NY Daily News reports that Marvel Studios has officially announced that Hugo Weaving will play Captain America’s arch nemesis, the Red Skull. B!K! told you as much, but it’s nice for everything to be official. By the way, did you know that Weaving is 50 years old? I’m serious.
As if that wasn’t enough villain casting news, splashpage.mtv reports:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Toby Jones has signed on to play Arnim Zola, a nazi scientist who used his horrific experiments to allow himself to unnaturally extend his life, ultimately leading to his consciousness being permanently stuck in a robotic body.

Jones has previously appeared in W as Karl Rove, Frost/Nixon as Swifty Lazar, Smee in Finding Neverland and in the Harry Potter film series as the voice of ‘Dobby the House Elf’. Jones is also slated to appear in an upcoming episode of Doctor Who as well as the feature film, The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn.
I can see it, I mean, it is a little creepy, inn’t?
Finally, Latino Review shocks us with the news that The First Avenger: Captain America may be filmed in…wait for it… 3-D!!!!
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige admitted he and his team had considered converting the superhero sequel (Iron Man 2) into 3-D after seeing the success of "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland." Given the extensive demands of post-production on "Iron Man 2," however, they concluded there simply wasn’t enough time.
With three Marvel movies in the works over the next two years, however, Feige hinted that 3-D may be in the cards for some or all of them.
"The team has been doing a lot of research into 3-D processes, and we’re looking at it on future films when we have the time," he said. "We will be doing it at some point."
"Thor" is already in production, meaning it would have to be converted into 3-D in post, but "First Avenger: Captain America" and "The Avengers" could potentially be filmed with 3-D cameras. The massive success of James Cameron’s "Avatar" has stirred a 3-D sensation in Hollywood that some compare to a gold rush and others worry might just be herd mentality.
Who cares? I’m so sick of this 3-D craze that’s plaguing the theaters, and I really hope it blows over like the laserdisc.
