Wanted 2 Is Off

Mag: Universal craved a sequel to Angelina Jolie’s assassination tango/loom tutorial Wanted. Unfortunately for the studio, Jolie is leaving them…wanting. We’ve just heard the actress has pulled out of the planned Timur Bekmambetov-directed sequel at Universal, and
the studio has pulled the plug rather than recast the film. As for Jolie, we hear she is now intent on starring in Warner Bros.’ Gravity, a space thriller to be directed by Children of Men’s Alfonso Cuarón from a script he wrote with his 28-year-old son, Jonás.

Like Wanted 2, Gravity had previously been set up at Universal, with Jolie set to star. But a few weeks ago, the studio put Gravity into turnaround, possibly because it’s such an artistically challenging project: Jolie would be alone on-screen for much of the movie, playing the sole surviving human member of a space mission, desperately trying to return home to Earth and her daughter. (In that way it’s reminiscent of the brilliant, little-seen Moon with Sam Rockwell. Seriously, why won’t you see it?) Now Warners has snapped it up, and it will be produced
by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows producer David Heyman and Legendary Pictures.

Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t she die at the end of the first movie? Why is her pulling out enough to ruin the whole movie? Ah well, I didn’t like the first one so I have no problem with this one being canceled.

Are you a insane?! AJ is not only the hottest piece of ass I have ever seen...she is so hot she is other wordly in her beauty. I am so gay for her I would do anything perverse she could think of to have even a chance of tapping her. I will step off of my soapbox now...May the force be with you...

		2010-03-03 15:03:09 morganskye waves Heya, a female here. :) Meh, she's ok. While she does have an exotic look, I think she's overplayed as THE hottie. There are times when I would call her beautiful, but they are few and far between. I also think Megan Fox looks like a crack whore, but that's just me. ;P

		2010-03-03 16:03:43 J2-R2 I have to say as much as I LOVE her I am also mystified by how someone (a highly skilled assassin no less) who supposedly got shot through the head could survive...but then they didn't show it did they? The black tricks Hollywood will play to generate more dough through bringing back a hottie.

		2010-03-04 00:03:21 Toni Smith Timur Bekm? Bekama? That Russian guy who directed it said they were going to use the wax baths as a way to explain The Fox coming back. What I don't get is why people have so much hate for the film, sure it's nothing like the comic, but when you see them as two completely different approaches to the same theme, both work well.

		2010-03-07 01:03:14 Jorn I quite enjoyed the Wanted movie- it may have helped that I never read the comic books. And personally, I think Jolie is a victim of her own hype; the only movie I've seen her in since The Bone Collector where I saw her as the role she was playing was Changeling- the rest of the time she's just Angelina Jolie; And I give more credit to Clint Eastwood than Jolie for her performance in Changeling
