Zack Snyder's 'Sucker Punch' Trailer

By Dashiel Kulander on 07.27.2010

If there is one thing that Zack Snyder knows how to do, it’s cast, write and photograph some of the most smokin’ hot, kick-your-ass babes on screen today. While he’s often been lambasted, tarred and feathered by critics for multiple "un-P.C." reasons, you cannot accuse him of being a chauvinist. Did I love any of Snyder’s previous films? No. Wil he continue to draw me in time and time again with beautiful cinematography, awesome trailers, hot chicks and the promise of an imaginative and quasi-original storyline? Yes.

Dawn Of The Dead is Snyder's best film. Watchmen was a noble attempt to bringing the holy grail of graphic novels to the silver screen. At the looks of this teaser, i'd say we have a winner here. I have high hopes for this. BTW, who posted this article? you say you don't "love" any of Snyder's films, do you "Like" any? I don't understand the critics abuse toward Snyder. To this day i believe he's delivered the some of the best translations from comic book to moving picture, that i hav

...have seen. And he follows the novels closer than anyone else. And i liked Snyder's Watchmen. Wasn't perfect, but look at content he had to deal with, not exactly the easiest feat to conquer.

and 300 was like watching a graphic novel come to life, literally. I read that book weeks before the film came out, and it was almost exactly same, shot-for-shot, and line-for-line. So whats the problem here? The guy is fucking talented!!!

Dawn of the Dead was the stupidest fucking movie I've ever seen, other than that, Snyder has made some awesome shit. I'm guessing that this article was posted either by Kronner or Frank, which is tragic, as I was just about to jot one down for it. I'm with you Dealer, I think this movie is going to be super fun; it won't make a ton of sense (MP5s and M4s in a 50's Setting) but who really gives as shit if the movie is readily enjoyable, which hot babes and 'splosions happen to be.

I really enjoyed DOTD even though it was just a copy of 28 Days later. 300 was amazing and I loved Watchmen. Looking forward to this.

Toni, that is ridiculous. I can name 100 movies from that very year that were worse than DAWN OF THE DEAD (Which I loved). Why is there so much hate in your heart?

Dawn of the Dead was retarded MTV schlock and wasn't entertaining in the slightest. But how am I hateful when I live the rest of his movies? Hell, my very first article on this site was about how I felt Snyder's ending for Watchmen was actually better than the one in the book; I'll even say that overall the Watchmen film is better than the comic (let's face it, Watchmen isn't some sacred cow)

Hey Toni, come on -- I am genuinely interested in seeing this. I'm not a huge fan of Snyder's previous work, simply because the movie trailers ALWAYS outshine the final and full product, but hey -- Zack has me hooked again. This looks pretty bad ass.

Uhm, guys, Toni isn't hating on Sucker Punch. He said "I think this movie is going to be super fun" which is a pretty solid endorsement and something I can agree with. He didn't like Dawn of the Dead. So what? Cut him some slack. The guy is entitled to his own opinion no matter how wrong it is.

Toni, you can add M Night Shamalama to that list.

Sauntacular, you could also add John Favereau, Quentin Tarantino, Edgar Wright and James Cmaeron, along with every restaurateur, TV network and retailer on the planet. There's nothing wrong with using effective advertising, this is Murkha, Goddamnit. If two of these chicks kiss; Sucker Punch will top the Godfather and Mel Gibson's (Hopefully not scrapped) upcoming Viking movie as my all time favorite.

It's kind of arbitrary to say that Snyder is the only guy whose trailers are better than the total project: a trailer is just a great big ad. This is the movie I'm most looking forward to next year, and judging on how 300 had every frat d-bag dressed up like a Spartan for Halloween; here's hoping Sucker Punch is the big trend for 2011.

Thor comes out next year and THIS is the movie you are most looking forward too? I'm going to have to disagree here, I think this movie looks terrible... I mean i love ladies, and I don't mind looking at hotties in great outfits for a couple hours, but i don't see the value of this movie besides the sexiness... oh i get it now

this at least strikes an emotion, thor, doesn't do jack shit for me. the more i see thor the more i don't want to see it. watchman was boring as fucking shit, then you have blue dong in every other scene, characters that you could do without. didn't even come close to holding my interest. if this lacks the amount of action this trailer is pushing then it won't either, it will just turn out like twilight for men.

Thor is up there, but since it's a Marvel Studios production; I'm wary of how far it can go up its own ass much like Iron Man 2 did. This movie placates to my id; awesome action and hot chicks in slutty outfits, can't ask for more than that.

.... We wouldn't have The Long Halloween or Batman Begins for that matter. I suggest looking at each adaptation as a separate entity.

I've always been of the school of thought that fiction is a fluid concept. Once a story is part of the lexicon it is no longer set in stone and open for interpretation. People have made Watchmen into some sacred cow and many forget the story's origin as a showcase of (then) defunct Charlston comics characters. But to say that any work of fiction is too sacred is arrogant; I'll use may classic example again: If people said Batman:Year One should never be expanded upon we wouldn't have The Long H

I liked Watchmen. Whenever someone really loves an adaptation's source material they're going to be disappointed with an adaptation. It'll just never live up to the fantasy which they've already constructed in their own minds. I thought DOTD was pretty retarded, too dark for me (I mean literally, not the mood) and just fucking lame.

toni don't get me wrong, i love women in slutty outfits. its just hard to take an action hero movie seriously when the lead is wearing a fucking skimpy school girl outfit.

Well maybe you need to start thinking with your dick. Movies are way more enjoyable that way.
